Fundraising for First-Ever Live Worship Album Recording!
Hey all! I need YOUR help! I have an exciting announcement for you! I am officially in the process of creating my FIRST-EVER Live Worship Album! I have an amazing team of musicians & singers lined up to help with this project, but I also need YOU! I don't have the full financial means to cover the costs of some of the album costs. If you would like to help support me and this project, I am setting up a fund to help cover the costs. Money raised would go to help with paying musicians, singers, videographer, mixing engineer, location rental, distribution costs, etc.

Marcus Barnes is an American composer, songwriter, singer, musician, and contemporary worship artist. He composes music for concert band/wind ensemble, orchestra, chamber ensembles, solo works, and choir, as well as writing contemporary worship songs for the church. In addition, he also enjoys creating pop/edm music as well. Marcus’ music is most often influenced by his curiosity and interest in different cultures of the world and his Christian faith. He has always been intrigued by the differences in music that are influenced by different traditions and cultures. His faith in God is such an important part of who he is, that it is just natural for him to make music that glorifies God and helps spread the message of Jesus and possibly be used as a doorway for people to come to
know Him. Barnes has received a Bachelor of Music degree, specializing in Music Theory / Composition from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where he studied with composer and professor, Dr. Kimberly Archer. Marcus has also received awards from the Oklahoma Youth Winds and Illinois Music Educators Association from his compositions. His work, “Song of the Fallen” was the winner of the Oklahoma Youth Winds Composition Contest and premiered by the Oklahoma Youth Winds in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. “As The Sun Rises,” another original work by Marcus, received a second place award with the Illinois Music Educators Association Composition Contest. Marcus has worked with several ensembles and has had numerous of his original compositions performed live by ensembles including the Oklahoma Youth Winds, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville University Band, and the Granite City High School Wind Ensemble. |
